Jesus warned the church in Sardis to return to their first love. Let’s return to our first love, Jesus Christ! Paul said we are complete in him.
Today the apostle Paul reveals “The Secret” that had been hidden for centuries and generations past, but now has been revealed to us, the church. Also, God tells Gideon to, “Go in the strength he has.” May we as well!
Whatever it is we need – food, safety, salvation, happiness – God is all we need.
Yes the mighty of this world are having their way, especially with born-again believers. But we wait patiently for God to tear down the mighty and set-up his kingdom.
King David believed and hid from danger in God. So can we. Isaiah shows the same thing, that in the last days, God will protect Israel. Finally, Paul shows how marriage is two becoming one flesh.
What a tragedy today. Trying to turn to God’s word help me make sense of it all.
Isaiah says that when Christ returns, the wolf and lamb will lie down together in perfect peace. God’s love will one day rule the world, and it is going to be glorious. Until then, the apostle Paul reminds to to live as children of light.
Jesus told Nicodemus, “You must be born again!” Later he says too that you must first believe. Isaiah says that there will be a remnant in Israel that believes, and Paul says that Jews and Gentiles who believe are one in Christ Jesus. Praise the Lord.
The Lord our God is so good!. He’s willing to do whatever it takes to get you to believe, whether letting doubting Thomas feel his wounds, or telling King Ahaz he’s wants to give him a sign to strengthen his faith, or Paul telling us that salvation is a gift from God, the Lord our God is so good, so good, so good!
We live in a fallen world, and our spirits groan as we wait for the Lord’s return. This world is not our home. But take heart, because we have a blessed hope of an inheritance that will never be taken away!
